Inndaw, December 13

Two people were injured in a road accident on Shwebo-Myintkyina road near Aikma village in Inndaw towship, Katha district, Sagaing region yesterday afternoon.

The accident happened when a motorbike driven by Thein Aye together with pillion rider U Kyaw Tint pulled out into the wrong lane and crashed into an oncoming military truck driven by Lance Corporal Tin Ohn. The two motorbike riders were severely injured in the accident and taken to Inndaw township hospital.

Local police pressed charges against the two motorbike riders for careless driving.—Lu Aung (Katha)
