Major teams in the Myanmar National League — Shan United and Ayeyawady United — will play friendly matches with other teams today, as part of preparations for the upcoming season of the Myanmar National League.

Shan United, the defending champion of the Myanmar National League, will play against Magwe F.C. at 8 a.m. today on the artificial turf of the Thuwunna Stadium, and Ayeyawady United will play against Southern Myanmar F.C. at the M3 Stadium at the same time.

Both Shan United and Ayeyawady United are preparing for the next season and have signed on new players with the aim of winning the championship, according to the MNL.

Shan United had won the 2018-2019 season of the Myanmar National League with a no-loss result and Ayeyawady United had finished the season as the first runner-up, trailing Shan United by two points.
