A 21-year old female university student was killed and her colleague injured in a motorcycle accident in Maubin Township, Ayeyawady Region, the Ministry of Home Affairs reported.
    

The tragic accident occured between mileposts 5/0 and 5/1 on the Maubin-Kyaitlat Road near Kyonsote Village in Maubin Township at around 3:25 p.m. A motorbike driven by a woman named Ma Thazin Phway U Hlaing, 21 years old with her friend Ma Moe Thuzar, 17 years old crashed into a median strip after she lost control. Both of them were injured in the incident and were sent to a public hospital in Maubin.
    

The motorcyclist was pronounced dead on arrival at the hospital. A probe has been launched to investigate into the case by the local people.—MOHA
