At least 2,327 people were killed and 11,768 others injured as a result of 10,710 road accidents across Angola in 2019, the country's national police authority said here Tuesday.
Despite a slight decrease in the numbers compared with 2018, road accidents is one of the main concerns of the national authorities, said National Police Commander-General Paulo de Almeida.
He said that authorities will review some road policies in 2020.
The meeting, which examined road safety and prevention policies and regional integration, among others, served to prepare for the country's participation in the 3rd Global Ministerial Conference on Road Safety to be held on Feb. 19-20 in Stockholm, Sweden.
