The police destroyed acres of poppy plantations in Pinlaung and Mongping Townships in Shan State on 28 January, according to the information released by the Myanmar Police Force. 

A combined team comprising police members from Shan State annihilated 1.5 acres of poppy fields about two miles west of Warli Village in Pinlaung Township and 2 acres of poppy plantations about one mile east of Masikye Village in Mongping Township in Shan State on 28 January. —MPF
