Three men were killed and four others injured after a six-wheeled truck overturned in Yedashe Township, Bago Region on 8 February, the Ministry of Home Affairs reported.

The accident occurred on the Thagara-Koepin Road near Lelpyinma Village in Yedaseh Township at about 7:05 a.m. A six-wheeled truck with eight men aboard was driven by a man identified as Nay Hsan, 28, and flipped over after the driver lost control of the vehicle. Three men were pronounced dead on the spot and four others sustained minor injuries in the incident.

The driver fled the scene after the accident and the injured people were sent to a nearby hospital. Action is being taken against the driver over reckless driving by the local police.—MOHA
