Local authorities arrested a man along with a percussion lock firearm in Kawlin Township, Sagaing Region yesterday.

Acting on a tip-off, police members led by Police Capt. Myo Thu from Kawlin Myo Ma Police Station together with witnesses raided the hut near Sinma Village in Kawlin Township yesterday evening and arrested a man, identified as Maung Pu, 37, along with an illegal percussion lock firearm in the hut.

Maung Pu is currently being detained for possession of a homemade gun by the local policemen.—Min Tun Min, IPRD
