Yangon, 13 February

A fire broke out in Nyaunthonepin village in Thanlyin Township, Yangon Region this early morning and destroyed 11 houses.

Firefighters form the District Fire Services Department and the township Fire Services Department rushed to the scene to put out the fire in collaboration with local police members and locals using nine fire engines and four water tankers. The blaze was brought under control about 12: 52 am and successfully extinguished at around 12:55 am.

Fire destroyed 11 houses in the township. But no casualties were reported. Authorities were investigating the causes of the fire.—Thet Khine (Thanlyin)
