An extended two-storey facility is being built by the Ministry of Health and Sports in the compound of a public hospital in Katha Township, Sagaing Region, and the new structure will house the sick patients.
A stake-driving ceremony for construction of the healthcare building was held on 9 February. Regional MP U Nyi Nyi Tun, Chairman of the district management committee U Tint Wai Thine and concerned officials drove the stakes at designated places of the construction site at the ceremony. The facility measuring 120 ft. in length, 56 ft. in width will be built by a private tender winning company at a cost of Ks. 417 million.
