Maungtaw township Rural Development Department held a ceremony to open a basic course on electric wiring in the village of Aungzayya in Maungtaw township, Rakhine state the first week of this month.
At the opening event, U Thein Tun, head of the township RDD made opening remarks, saying the course aimed to help develop the socio-economic lives of local people. He also expressed his hope that the course can provide the trainees with job opportunities, enabling them to earn a living. Then, one out of the two course instructors reported on the course.
The two instructors have been teaching 20 trainees electric wiring practically and theoretically during 21-day course. Present at the event were staff from the township RDD, villagers, village elders and trainees.—Thet Lwin Soe (IPRD)
