Members of the Myanmar Red Cross Society and philanthropists from a local social organization handed over relief items to fire victims from 18 households in Paukchaung Village, Saw Township in Magway Region.

The bushfire broke out in Paukchaung Village at about 4 p.m. on 21 March, making 18 families in the village homeless. They presented rice, drinking water, clothing, mosquito nets, blankets, household utensils, snacks, tents and construction materials to the fire victims.

 

In addition, residents from Lindagyin Village also donated rice, cooking oil, salt, fish paste and household utensils to the fire victims on the same day.—Zaw Myo Thant (Saw)
