Kyaikmaraw 27 March
Three well-wishers from Mawlamyine City donated six thermometers to be screened for visitors across the country to the Hsutaungpyae Pagoda, a historic pagoda built by Queen Shin Saw Pu in Kyaikmaraw Township, Mon State yesterday.
The fever-detecting machines would be used to screen for coronavirus against the visitors to the area in an attempt to contain the spread of deadly disease in an effective manner. The medical items were donated through an official from the Department of Health.
In addition, the staff from the DoH disseminated knowledge about the risks of COVID-19 and installed hand basins for the pilgrims.—Cho Myat Myat Htwe (IPRD)
