Towns and wards across the country are trying to mitigate community spread of Coronavirus by disinfecting public places as the country registered 20 cases of Coronavirus infection yesterday.


Four more patients confirmed with the Coronavirus infection are from the same family in Paukkaung, Bago Region.


The municipality sprayed streets and vehicles on the road where the patients having with the Coronavirus infection lived and public places including places for facility quarantine, markets, community centres and religious buildings.


Private donors and departmental officials have arranged hand washing facilities outside public places and offices while health workers and volunteers are distributing pamphlets on health awareness against the novel Coronavirus disease.


Meanwhile, local health officials in townships visited the people receiving the facility quarantine and provided health care to them.


From 6 pm, 1 April, 2020 to 6 pm, 2 April, there are 42 new patients monitored for their health as the samples from them were sent to the National Laboratory (Yangon).—GNLM
