As part of effort to control the spread of COVID-19, the government of Chin State and Karuna Mission Social Solidarity (KMSS) jointly provided rice, cooking oil, gram and salt to the villagers of the Tiddim Township’s Kaptel Village where the COVID-19 case was found on 23 March in Chin State.

The township Administrator U Go Suin Khaing and staff from the township General Administration Department distributed 60 bags of rice, 43 viss of cooking oil, 53 viss of gram and 15 viss of salt provided by Chin State Government, and 300 bags of rice, 183 viss of gram, 649 viss of cooking oil donated by KMSS social organization to villagers of Kaptel Village in Tedim Township on 7 April.

As part of effort to control the spread of COVID-19, local authorities imposed lockdown measures in Kaptel Village from April 8 to 14, it is learnt.—Dai Dim, IPRD
