In a bid to prevent the spread of the deadly Covid-19, the township authorities asked vendors to sell meats and vegetables at the sports ground in the town of Minbu, Minbu district, Magway region starting from yesterday morning.
The aim of the move is to prevent the spread of coronavirus, to help vendors sustain their livelihood and to ensure local people buy meats and vegetables for their meals. Sellers and buyers are asked to wear facial masks. They are also allowed to go into the temporary market opened in the sports ground after checking their body temperatures, said Daw Soe Soe Than, deputy officer from Minbu township Development Committee.
The vendors’ market is open from 6:00 am to 10 am every day.—Kyaw Soe Win (Minbu)
