Myanmar citizens who came back from China are being kept in 21-day quarantine at designated places in Putao, Kachin State, said Chairman of the township COVID-19 control and prevention committee Township Administrator U Thant Sin.

A total of 26 returnees—nine from Putao, 16 from Khaunglanphu and one from Nagmon Township—were sent to a vocational training school belonging to the Ministry of Border Affairs where they are temporarily accommodated. They were hosted with lunch and were put under 21-day monitoring at the community base facility quarantine.

The Lower House MP U Moe Shwe, the legislator for local parliament U Yaw Si, the township administrator and the township medical superintendent U Kyaw Myint Aung met with the returnees and urged them to strictly abide by the instructions.—Phong Kan (Putao)
