Strong winds hit Pwintbyu Township, Magway Region on 23 April and roofs of some houses were flipped over.

The destroyed houses were repaired with the help of local residents and officials from the Township General Administration Department.

Due to the strong winds, roofs of four houses in the township were destroyed and no casualties were reported in the incident. In addition, an earth crack which is 6 ft in length and four inches in width appeared in Padamyar Monastery in Eastern Ward of Pwintbyu. Therefore, departmental officials and members of Township Sangha Nayaka Committee and ward administrators inspected the crack and said to inform to the respective department when there was found a strange thing.
