Kyaukphyu, April 27

As part of efforts to help local people prevent from the possible threats of storms at the start of the rainy season and make early preparations in case of emergency, staff from Kyaukphyu district Information and Public Relations Department distributed educative leaflets about storm, issued by Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement Ministry, at the temporary market set up on the open field in the town of Kyaukphyu this afternoon.

The leaflet bear information on how to make preparations for storm, colour-based storm warning systems, things to be carried together with themselves, things not to do in the storm, things to do when storm alert is received.  The IPRD staff handed out the leaflets to vendors at the temporary market.—Phyo Wai Lin (IPRD)
