No casualties were reported in a house fire in Ward-3, Pakkoku Township in Magway Region, the Ministry of Home Affairs said.

The fire broke out in a house of a woman identified as Daw Khin Sein on Thiri Marlar Lane, Ward-3 in Pakkoku at about 10 a.m. on 23 April. The fire was believed to have started from an overheated electric fan and spread nearby packets of blankets. Local firefighters rushed to the scene of fire along with 23 fire engines and took about 35 minutes to completely put out the flame.

Five houses were burnt to ashes in the fire but no one was injured in the incident. An investigation into the cause of fire is ongoing by the local police.—MOHA
