Officials from Myaing Township Development Affairs Committee have set up umbrellas for vendors selling vegetables and meats at the temporary market on the main sports field in the town of Myaing, Magway region.

 In a bid to prevent the spread of Covid-19 and to ensure social distancing among sellers and buyers, a temporary market was prepared for 174 vendors by the officials on April 13. Now, the officials have set up umbrellas for those vendors with the assistance of Telenor mobile phone operator. The sellers and buyers are asked to wash their hands before entering the market and wear facial masks when doing business activities.

The temporary market is intended to open till May 15, according to the township development affairs committee.—Sein Myaing (Myaing)
