With the aim of providing purified drinking water in all seasons, Department of Rural Development is implementing water supply projects across the nation. In Kangyidaung Township, the Township Department of Rural Development is undertaking water supply projects in 13 villages in Kangyidaung Township, Pathein District, Ayeyawady Region in 2019-2020 FY.

 

“Digging earthen wells, repair of water plants and construction of water treatment plants conducted by Township Department of Rural Development have been completed and other seven projects conducted by tender winning company have been completed by 90 percent. All the projects were conducted with K 106.46 million allocated in 2019-2020 FY. In the next fiscal year, it has been earmarked to implement water supply projects in other five villages in the township,” said Township Officer U Kyaw Soe Naing.

 

A total of 91 water supply projects were undertaken in 89 villages from 2013-2014 FY to 2019-2020 FY. Contact numbers of Township Department of Rural Development were given to respective village administrators to be informed when facing water scarcity.
