With the aim of increasing fish species and ensuring fish consumption, the Department of Fisheries is undertaking the release of fish species into the creeks, lakes and rivers across the nation.

Officials from Pinlaebu Township Department of Fisheries distributed pamphlets how to protect fishery resources and how to prevent illegal fishing during breeding season to the fish sellers in Township Market this morning.

The campaign was jointly conducted by officials from Township Department of Fisheries and Township Development Committee. In addition, the officials also warned the fish sellers to avoid electro-fishing, using chemicals and illegal fishing.
