With the aim of distributing drinking water to rural people in Laemyathna Township in all seasons, Township Department of Rural Development is undertaking water supply projects in four village in Laemyathna Township, Hinthada District, Ayeyawady Region.

The projects such as digging 400 deep tube wells, construction of water towers capable of storing 2400 gallons of water and construction of water tanks capable of storing 3000 gallons of water are being undertaken in four villages in the township. 

The water supply projects are being undertaken with K 49.44 million allocated by VDP and now it has been completed by 96 percent. Upon completion, 2155 people who reside in four villages will be distributed purified drinking water in all seasons, said Township Officer from Township Department of Rural Development U Zay Min Min.
