With the aim of boosting the income of local people and their socio-economic status, loans to implement emerald green projects were disbursed to members of village emerald green project committee at the Monastery of Haiktaung Village, Namtu Township, Shan State yesterday. The disbursement of loan is the fifth of its kind.

At the ceremony, an official from the Township Department of Rural Development clarified the purpose of the project and shared knowledge about the dangers of COVID-19.

Then, officials handed over K 47.5 million to members of village emerald green project committee. Altogether 101 people - 40 people in agriculture business, 51 in livestock breeding business and 10 in trading business received loans of the projects.—U Law Maw, IPRD
