Saw, 5 June
The classrooms of a high school that have been used as a quarantine center for the returnees in Saw Township, Magway Region were disinfected by volunteers yesterday.
Firefighters from the Fire Services Department and members of the Myanmar Red Cross Society sprayed disinfectant in the classrooms. The returnees were placed under 21-day observation at a school-cum quarantine center in an attempt to curb the spread of coronavirus in the township.
The returnees were allowed to go home after completing 21-day quarantine on 3 June and the school would be returned to the Department of Education. Some more returnees were put under 21-day quarantine at Mogok Meditation center that was diverted into a quarantine facility.
7 men and 3 women totaling 10 returnees are currently being monitored at the religious building-turned quarantine center, according to a source from the General Administration Department.
