The township Department of Social Welfare under the Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement provided social pension to elderly people above 85 years old in Dagon Myothit Township, Yangon Region yesterday.

Officials from the township Department of Social Welfare and the township General Administration Department disbursed social pension to elderly people in the township on a door-to-door basis.

Under this financial aid program, 949 senior citizens in the township received K 6000 each amid the outbreak of COVID-19.
