The postponed French Open tennis tournament will be held from September 27 to October 11.

The event, one of the four Grand Slam tournaments, was due to begin on May 24, but was delayed amid the coronavirus pandemic.

The new schedule means that the Roland-Garros tournament will begin just two weeks after the US Open, which will take place from August 31 to September 13.

The French Tennis Federation says in its website that it will take proper measures to ensure the health and safety of all people at the stadium, in cooperation with the government.

It has also been announced that the women's international tour will restart on August 3 in Italy without spectators, and that the men's tour will resume on August 14 in the United States without spectators, or with fewer than usual.
