A ceremony to give cash aids to households who removed their houses nearby riverbank in Yenangyaung Township, Magway Region was held at Township General Administration Department this morning.

Thirteen houses from Kantha village and two houses from Mainmahla village were relocated to safety places on 17 June due to the riverbank erosion. 

Township Administrator and an official from the Regional Department of Disaster Management provided a total of K 1,613,400 including K 100,000 of construction materials per house and K 2,100 of rice per person via village-tract administrator.
