Twenty one Basic Education Schools in Saw Township, Gangaw District, Magway Region were upgraded in 2020-2021 academic year, according to Township Education Officer’s Office. 

In the township, there are 118 Basic Education Schools and out of which Paukkhaung village self-reliant school was promoted to Basic Education Primary School (Branch). In addition, primary school (Branch) in Nattkaung village was upgraded to primary school, primary schools in Ayechan, Karka and Khuechaung villages to post-primary schools, post-primary schools in Hnakpyakyin, Sawlatpan, Thalae and Thayetchin villages to middle schools (Branch), middle schools (Branch) in Phyan, Tintu, Thanpayar, Yintyechaung, Anait, Kyaukswe, Anyarpanmalun and Yeshin villages to middle schools, middle schools in Ngalaekhone, Yawlatpan, Hlawgar and Tae villages to high schools (Branch).
