With the aim of boosting the income of local people and their socio-economic status, the township Department of Rural Development disbursed loans to implement emerald green projects to members of village emerald green project committee in Letpankyin Village in Wuntho Township, Sagaing Region yesterday. The disbursement of loans is the sixth of its kind.

At the event, an official from the township DRD clarified the purpose of the project and handed over K 50.0 million to members of village emerald green projects committee in Letpankyin Village.

Altogether 93 people – one people in agriculture business, 91 in livestock breeding business and one in trading business received loans of the projects. 

Personnel from the township DRD disbursed loan of the project to members of village emerald green project in accordance with rules released by Ministry of Health and Sports amid the outbreak of COVID-19.
