Construction of a retaining wall along the Hlaingbwe Creek near Myoma Bridge in Hlaungbwe Township, Kayin State was completed.
The project implemented with Ks. 172.57 million allotted by the local government in the current fiscal year began on January 4. A private company has won the tender for construction of the retaining wall and construction task was finalized on June 23, according to the Directorate of Water Resources and Improvement of River Systems under the Ministry of Transport and Communications.
The retaining wall would prevent earthen riverbank along the Hlaingbwe Creek from eroding in the rainy season.—Khin Sa Myint (IPRD)
