98 Myanmar citizens returning from Thailand arrived at a training sport ground in Kengtung on 24 June evening.
    

Local authorities made arrangements to transfer the returnees to Taunggyi. The returnees entered Myanmar via No.2 Friendship Bridge in Tachilek where they were conducted medical checks by a group of local officials consisting of policemen, firefighters, medical staff, members of the Red Cross, and volunteers and distributed food and drinking water.
    

Among the returnees, nine people from Kengtung are placed under 21-day quarantine and the remaining people were sent to Taunggyi by vehicles.
