THE Tatmadaw has filed charges against officials responsible for the security measures of mining sites near Wheykha Village, Phakant Township, where landslide occurred on 2 July, according to a press release of the Tatmadaw True News Information Team.
The press release also said authorities are continuing the search for people missing in the accident that left 172 workers dead and 54 injured.
The Tatmadaw has already recalled a commander tasked with security issue and the Minister for Security and Border Affairs of Kachin State to their military duties since 3 July.
The Tatmadaw is pursuing all necessary course of action and working in line with regulations to replace the vacant minister position.
