A ceremony to provide cash aids to nine households whose houses were removed to safety places due to the Ayeyawady Riverbank erosion was held at Pwintbyu Township General Administration Department yesterday afternoon.


At the ceremony, Township Administrator U Tun Thein Aung clarified the purpose of the provision and urged the officials and people who reside nearby the riverbank to undertake preventative measures against erosion.


Then, the officials provided K 900,000 of cash aids to nine households for relocation of their houses at a rate of K 100,000 per household. In addition, 45 family members from the households were provided K 94,500 for purchasing rice.
