Flood victims from wards and villages inundated by floodwaters from the Ayeyawady River were furnished with relief supplies by the Department of Disaster Management under the Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement on 15 July.


Officials from the department presented more than Ks 13 million for purchasing rice and facial masks for 637 flood victims from 129 households from six villages and wards in the township. In addition, they provided over K 1.7 million for buying construction materials, rice and masks for flood victims from four families through ward and village administrators.   

 
According to observations at 6:30 a.m. today, the danger mark of Ayeyawady River is 1040 centimeters in Katha and now the water level of Ayeyawady River reached 1023 centimeters.
