The Central Bank of Myanmar has embarked for circulation of new K 500 banknote featuring Bogyoke Aung San through Myanmar Economic Banks in Yangon this morning.

Its prominent colour is red brown, and printed the “Central Bank of Myanmar” at the top. The obverse side of the new K 500 banknote depicts National Leader Bogyoke Aung San as the main portrait.

The size of new banknote will have 150 mm in length and 70 mm in width. People are allowed to exchange two new K 500 banknotes with their money.
