A ceremony to inaugurate Ashaegone-Yesone Submersible Bridge in Yenangyaung Township, Magway Region was held on 18 July.


The occasion was graced by Magway Regional Minister for Construction and Transportation U Tin Nwe Oo, Director General of Department of Rural Road Development U Khin Thet, MPs of Regional Hluttaw, departmental personnel, local community leaders and local residents.


First, the regional Minister for Construction and Transportation gave remarks and Director General of the Department of Rural Road Department said that a total of 17 bridges including Ashaegone-Yesone bridge have been constructed in Magway Region with the aids of Japanese technology. As well, a bridge in Kayin State, one in Bago Region, two in Mandalay Region, three in Sagaing Region, totaling seven bridges have been constructed with the aids of Japanese technology. 


The newly constructed submersible bridge will bring socioeconomic development of 4965 people from six villages in the township.
