An event to provide cash assistance to flood victims whose homes became relocated due to floodwaters from the Ayeyawady River and Dokhtawady River was held at the meeting room of the General Administration Department in TadaU Township, Mandalay Region this morning.


On the occasion, Mandalay Region MPs for TadaU Township U Min Min Ni and U Wunna Aung delivered addresses. Next, Township Administrator U Hla Win Aung clarified the purpose of supplying cash assistance to the flood victims. Afterwards, the regional lawmakers and concerned officials presented cash provided by the Department of Disaster Management to the flood victims.


A total of 344 households from seven village-tracts were evacuated to safer locations as a result of floodwaters from the Ayeyawady River and Dokhtawady River, according to Assistant Township Administrator U Thiha Aung.
