A ceremony to honour outstanding Buddhist monks and nuns took place at Ottara Yarma Monastery in Mohnyin Towsnship, Kachin State yesterday afternoon.
    

The ceremony was opened by reciting the Namo Tassa three times. Next, Kachin State MP U Tin Aye and concerned officials donated honourary certificates to the outstanding Buddhist monks and nuns. Out of 126 Buddhist monks and nuns who sit for the monastic examinations, 41 Buddhist monks and nuns passed the religious examinations in the township.
