Kyaikmaraw, 23 July

A ceremony to open a basic disaster management training course, organized by United Nation Development Program (UNDP), was held at the meeting hall of the township General Administration Department in Kyaikmaraw Township, Mon State this morning.

First, Chairman of the township Disaster Management Committee U Kyaw Myint delivered and opening speech. Afterwards, Daw Ni Ni Lwin, in charge person of the township UNDP clarified the purpose of the training course.

The three-day training course which will run from July 23 to 25 is being attended by 25 trainees from 30 villages in township. Instructors from Myanmar Red Cross Society (Center) instruct the trainees in the training course.
