A ceremony to provide farmland compensation to owners whose farmlands were confiscated for the construction of a bypass in Htantapin Township, Yangon Northern District was held at the Township General Administration Department this morning.

At the ceremony, MP Aung Phone Kyaw San Oo of Regional Hluttaw and Deputy Township Administrator U Ye Lin Naing gave remarks. An officer from Township Road Department also clarified the purpose of the provision.

Then the officials provided farmland compensation to 14 owners for 16.02 acres of farmland at a rate of K 10 million per acre. A total of 19.17 acres of farmland were confiscated for the construction of the bypass and the remaining farmland compensation for 3.15 acres will be given to respective owners, said an officer from the Township Road Department.
