Some residential wards in Kamai Town, Kachin State were inundated by floodwaters from Indaw Creek following incessant rains in the area.
    

Wards and villages in the low-lying area in Kamai Town were submerged by floodwaters due to heavy rains in recent days. Members of the township disaster management committee, firefighters, security personnel, volunteers and policemen took part in the evacuation of flood victims.
    

So far 362 flood victims from low-lying areas were relocated to temporary relief camps, monasteries and churches and no casualties were reported due to the floods.
