The fourth session of the Union Peace Conference – 21st Century Panglong will be held at Myanmar International Convention Centre (MICC-I and MICC-II) in Nay Pyi Taw from 12 to 14 August 2020.
 

The fourth UPC will be held following the prevention, control and treatment measures against COVID-19 and only 60 journalists — 40 from local media and 20 from local-based foreign news agencies will be invited to the event.


Local and foreign correspondents who wish to cover the event are to click the registration link, Union Peace Conference-21st Century Panglong, at www.moi.gov.mm, the website of the Ministry of Information, to fill out the media registration form. The registration must be done no later than 4 pm on 29 July.


It will set two journalists per media out of the earliest registration lists and prioritize the currently publishing or running newspapers, journals and TV channels. The eligible media lists to the event will be announced on 31 July.


As there are a limited number of people, the photos and video records will be broadcast via the website of Ministry of Information (www.moi.gov.mm, www.mdn.gov.mm, www.mrtv.gov.mm) and Facebook Page (moiwebportalmyanmar, Myanmar Digital News, MRTV) keeping up with the real-time information for the unselected media not to lose rights in covering news.


Those who cover the event must follow the instructions below and the officials of the Ministry of Information will make an arrangement, if necessary:
The correspondents shall inform their arrivals at Nay Pyi Taw Municipal Guesthouse no later than noon of 7 August.


They shall stay at the designated places of Municipal Guesthouse like one room one person under the health instructions from the Ministry of Health and Sports.


During the stay in the Municipal Guesthouse, accommodation and meals must be paid on your own. (will coordinate for a cheaper rate)


On the appointed day, the swab test for COVID-19 will be done free of charge.
If the test result is positive, it will be carried out in accordance with the procedures from the Ministry of Health and Sports.


The issued news media recognition card will only be available at designated areas in MICC (I) and MICC (II), not at the restricted places including the places where the attendees of the conference stay.


At the opening and signing ceremonies, information can be obtained from designated venues and at other times, press conference will be held in the evening at Media booth and Media Centre.


After the opening ceremony, Ministry of Information will take charge to take souvenir photo due to the limited space and will upload in time on Websites (www.moi.gov.mm, www.mdn.gov.mm, www.mrtv.gov.mm ) and on the Facebook Page ( moiwebportalmyanmar, Myanmar Digital News, MRTV)
During the conference meetings, transportation to the conference venue and lunch will be provided by Municipal Guesthouse, masks, gloves and hand sanitizers will be provided by the Ministry of Information.
