A relief flight by Myanmar Airways International (MAI) bringing back 171 Myanmar nationals landed at the Yangon International Airport at 4:45 am on 26 July. With the help of Myanmar Embassy in Tel Aviv, the 171 Myanmar nationals working at several companies including Rich Pine, Century Miracle, Camel and Vega in Jordan could be brought back home. This is the second relief flight arranged for Myanmar nationals who stranded in Jordan.

Similarly, with the help of the Consulate General Office in Hong Kong, 58 Myanmar nationals who stranded in Taiwan (Chinese-Taipei) were brought back to the Yangon International Airport by China Airlines flight at 9:25 am on 26 July.

Furthermore, after cooperation between the relevant shipping companies, and the Myanmar Embassy in Singapore, 45 Myanmar seamen who needed crew-change after their contracts had expired could be brought back by an MAI charter flight. The flight came from the Singapore Changi Airport landed at the Yangon International Airport at 1pm on 26 July.

As they arrived in the Yangon International Airport, the Ministry of Labour, Immigration and Population, the Ministry of Health and Sports and the Yangon Region government arranged proper medical checkups and 21-day quarantine for the returnees.

To bring back Myanmar nationals stranded in foreign nations by relief flights and charter flights in accordance with the instructions from National-Level Central Committee for Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19), the Ministry of Foreign Affairs cooperated with the relevant ministries and Myanmar embassies from respective nations, and brought back a total of 8,831 Myanmar citizens.
