Olivia de Havilland, a two-time winner of the Academy Award for Best Actress, has died at the age of 104.
US media report that she died of natural causes at her home in Paris on Sunday.
She was born in Tokyo in 1916 to British parents, and soon moved to California.
She started her career in the theater at a young age. She appeared in the movie "Gone With the Wind" in 1939, playing the role of Melanie Hamilton, who marries the first love of main character, Scarlett O'Hara. She won an Oscar nomination as best supporting actress.
De Havilland went on to win two Best Actress Oscars for "To Each His Own" and "The Heiress."
