69 Myanmar citizens returned to the Kawkarein Township, Kayin State from Thailand at about 2 p.m. on 3 August.

The returnees were gathered at the township sports ground and arrangements were made by officials from the General Administration Department, respective departments and ward and village administrators to place them at quarantine centers.

69 returnees—55 people from Kawkareik and 14 from Kya-inn-Seikgyi Townships were quarantined at Technological University in Hpa-an.
