An event to donate cash assistance to flood victims was held at a religious building in Chauk Township, Magway Region yesterday evening.

The houses of flood victims in low-lying area in Chauk Township became relocated due to floodwaters from the Ayeyawady River. On the occasion, Township Administrator U Kyaw Swe Win, head of the township police force Police Captain Zaw Win, an official from the Department of Disaster Management and departmental staff presented K 2100 each to 25 households totaling K 218,400.—Kyaw Moe (IPRD)
