With the view to provide better transportation services to local residents, the Paingkyone Bridge in the town of Paingkyone, Hpa-an District, Kayin State is being renovated starting from 24 June. Now, it has been completed by 80 percent, according to a responsible person.


The creek bridge which is 1184.6 ft in length connects Ward-3 and Ward-4 in Paingkyone and it is being repaired with K 500 million allotted by funds of Kayin State Government in 2019-2020 FY. The repair was conducted by Bridge Special Team-14 and traffic on the bridge was temporarily suspended from 1:30 pm to 10:30 pm during the repair.
