A landslide occurred between mileposts 30/2 and 30/3 on the Tedim-Kalay Road near Thaing Ngin Village in Tedim Township, Chin State yesterday.
    

The landslide was attributed to the heavy rains that swept through the area. A landslide measuring about 300 ft. in length occurred on the road, causing temporary suspension of vehicles and motorbikes. Employees from Special Road Group-10 under the Department of Road of the Ministry of Construction cleared off the debris with the use of heavy machinery.

The blocked road section is expected to reopen to traffic in the evening, an official from the group said.
