Rallies and marches have taken place in the US capital, Washington, and about 300 other places nationwide, as Sunday marks two years since President Donald Trump took office.

Several thousand protestors gathered in Washington near the White House for the third Women's March. Protesters voiced anger on Trump's comments against women.

The US government is in the midst of a record-long partial shutdown as the political impasse continues over Trump's desire to build a wall along the Mexican border.
